Ensures staff compliance with sterilization techniques, policies, and procedures. Maintains proper documentation of sterilization activities and department records. Acts as a liaison between the sterile processing department and perioperative areas, coordinating activities and resolving problems as they arise. Ensures proper care and handling of instrumentation received through the decontamination area. Responsible for accepting and tagging fast tracks. Assigns employees to their job tasks daily and reallocates them as needed. Equipment includes STERIS washers and autoclaves.
