This field-based role serves as a scientific partner to external experts across the myasthenia gravis, neuromuscular, and cell therapy communities and reports to the VP, Medical Affairs. The position will support a specific territory, and candidates should live within or near the assigned geography.What You'll Be DoingBuild and maintain strong, compliant scientific relationships with key opinion leaders, investigators, and healthcare professionals across neuromuscular and cell therapy centers in both academic and community settings.Engage in high-quality peer-to-peer scientific exchange on clinical data, study design, and disease-state topics related to myasthenia gravis and Cartesian's investigational programs.Serve as a scientific resource for external stakeholders by responding to unsolicited medical and scientific inquiries in accordance with compliance requirements.Support clinical trial execution through ongoing investigator engagement, site collaboration, and appropriate trial awareness and recruitment support activities.Collect and communicate field insights on treatment practices, emerging research, unmet needs, and competitive developments to inform Medical Affairs strategy.Help shape territory engagement plans and KOL mapping in alignment with broader Medical Affairs priorities.Contribute to Medical Affairs conference planning, including identification of strategic congresses, KOL engagement planning, and coordination of scientific presence and activities.Represent Cartesian at scientific congresses and meetings; facilitate scientific exchange, capture key insights, and communicate learnings internally.Support advisory boards and other scientific meetings, including preparation of materials and capture of feedback to inform strategy.Participate in patient advocacy initiatives and outreach efforts, as appropriate.Maintain up-to-date scientific knowledge in myasthenia gravis, neuromuscular disease, and cell therapy while ensuring all activities align with company policies and regulatory expectations.Partner cross-functionally with Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, and other teams to support shared scientific and operational objectives.Travel extensively within the assigned territory (approximately 60-70%).Basic QualificationsAdvanced degree required: MD, DO, PharmD, PhD, NP, PAAt least 3+ years of relevant field medical/scientific exchange/clinical trial support experience; myasthenia gravis, rare neuromuscular disease, or cell therapy or autologous gene therapy experience required Proven ability to prepare and deliver high-quality scientific presentationsStrong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder-engagement skillsAbility to work independently and travel 60-70%, including occasional weekendsAbility to organize and lead high level projectsProven ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teamsSelf-driven attitude, flexibility, resilience and innovation in their workCompensation & BenefitsThe salary range for this position is: $223,312 - $260,000. Cartesian Therapeutics considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
