Manufacturing Technician – Router Programmer/Technician/Operator

This role is a hands-on technical lead responsible for programming, operating, and supporting router equipment within a manufacturing environment. The Router Programmer/Technician/Operator serves as the first line of defense for mechanical and line-down issues, creates and maintains machine programs for new and existing products, and plays a critical role in line startups, product changeovers, and ongoing process optimization. Hours: Monday – Friday, 7AM – 3:45PM The skills you need to succeed: You must pass a pre-employment vision exam (all candidates must be able to accurately distinguish colors used to identify electronic components, indicators, and markings). You must pass a dexterity test among others at discretion of employer. You must have an excellent understanding of manufacturing, and a strong understanding of electronics. You must have the ability to read schematics. You must have the ability to work self-directed. You must be a team player. You must thrive in an environment experiencing routine and rapid change. You must have excellent organization and decision-making skills. You must have a high level of energy and enthusiasm. You must have the ability to continuously find and deliver productivity. Education and experience of a successful candidate: 2-year college degree in electronics or related field plus a minimum of 4 years direct experience, or 8+ years of direct experience in equivalent role. Certification(s) for electronic assembly equipment Trained in implementing lean manufacturing practices and /or trained in Six Sigma.
