Hycroft Mining Holding Corporation is a US-based gold and silver mining company, which operates its wholly owned Hycroft open pit, gold, and silver mine located an hour southwest of Winnemucca, Nevada.
Job Description
The Mobile Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general mechanical maintenance of haul trucks, graders, dozers, water trucks, loaders and light duty support equipment while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect Hycroft’s values.
Responsibilities
Accurately diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems on heavy equipment.
Make repairs in a timely fashion to complete the job and reduce downtime.
Accurately order required parts and complete all necessary paperwork required.
Works with maintenance personnel to repair mining equipment with the least amount of machinery downtime possible to effectively repair the equipment.
Accurately troubleshoot all mechanical problems on machinery and parts to be repaired.
Interpret data out on VIMS system of CAT equipment.
Performs all work assigned in a safe, well managed manner and assures the area is safe for mechanics and other personnel to work in.
Accurately completes work orders and submits well documented reports in a timely manner.
Maintains active communication with the mobile maintenance supervisor and other crews to coordinate work and provide updates on work in progress.
Compliance with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to, safety, environmental, confidentiality and code of conduct.
Meets or exceeds established performance expectations set by management.

Punctuality and regular attendance required.
Assists with development of other department personnel to perform duties listed above.

Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Five (5) years of diesel repair experience is required.
Diesel Technician Degree preferred.
Must have a strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of equipment being maintained.
Able to read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics.
Be familiar with engine and powertrain design and function.
Must have a working knowledge of all tools and equipment necessary to work in the maintenance department.
Must be able to solve problems effectively in a variety of areas, including mechanical issues.
Wear appropriate PPE for all jobs and tasks being performed.
Working effectively with others safely with an excellent attendance record is required.
Demonstrate initiative as a team member in a growing organization required.
Ability to perform basic welding and cutting.
Ability to operate various equipment, including forklifts and service trucks.
Ability to work in all weather conditions.
Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
General understanding of mining operations, as well as limited understanding of milling and maintenance operations.
Working knowledge and skills with personal computers, utilizing Microsoft Office products.
Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills with the ability to interact effectively with all site employees and management.
The position requires a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to work rotating shift work.
