Full Stack Software Engineer

*About the Job* We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join our engineering team at Limetaya Technology LLC and contribute to the development of modern web applications, backend services, and AI-powered software solutions. This role focuses on building practical, scalable, and user-friendly applications across the frontend and backend, while exploring ways to incorporate artificial intelligence into everyday software workflows. You will work with a modern technology ecosystem that includes JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Python, REST APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and AI technologies such as large language models (LLMs) and generative AI APIs. Working alongside software engineers, technical leads, and product stakeholders, you will help turn business requirements into functional software features, participate in technical discussions, and improve applications through testing, feedback, and continuous development. • Develop, enhance, test, and maintain full-stack web applications using modern frontend and backend technologies.
• Build responsive and accessible user interfaces using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Develop backend services, application logic, and RESTful APIs using Python, Node.js, FastAPI, or similar frameworks.
• Integrate AI capabilities into software applications using LLM APIs, generative AI services, prompt engineering, and structured outputs.
• Work with SQL and/or NoSQL databases to store, retrieve, and manage application data.
• Collaborate with engineers and product stakeholders to understand requirements, break down tasks, and deliver functional software features.
• Use Git and GitHub for version control, code collaboration, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Write unit tests, troubleshoot bugs, investigate technical issues, and improve application performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Assist with deploying and maintaining applications using cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Participate in application development and deployment workflows involving Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
• Explore AI-assisted development tools to support coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and prototyping while validating generated code for correctness and security.
• Maintain clear technical documentation and communicate development progress, challenges, and implementation decisions with the team.
• Stay current with relevant software engineering practices, web technologies, cloud services, and emerging AI tools.

*Qualifications*

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 0–2 years of software development experience.
• Experience programming in JavaScript or TypeScript, with familiarity with React or another modern frontend framework.
• Working knowledge of backend development using Python, Node.js, Java, or a similar programming language.
• Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, and how frontend applications communicate with backend services.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and/or NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Basic understanding of Git, debugging, software testing, and writing clean, maintainable code.
• Foundational knowledge of AI or generative AI concepts, with an interest in integrating AI models and APIs into software applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn unfamiliar technologies.
• Ability to manage assigned tasks independently, ask questions when needed, and collaborate effectively with a distributed team.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

*Preferred Qualifications*

• Experience building full-stack applications using React with Python, FastAPI, Node.js, or similar backend technologies.
• Familiarity with AI application development concepts such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, vector databases, AI agents, or tool calling.
• Exposure to cloud application development, Docker, CI/CD workflows, or automated deployment.
• Experience using AI coding assistants or developer tools to improve productivity and software quality.
