About the Role: We are seeking a motivated and responsible Greenhouse Technician to support research operations within a controlled environment facility. This role focuses on supporting daily greenhouse activities, plant care, and research processes to drive agricultural innovation while maintaining a safe, compliant, and professional work environment. Client Information: A research facility focused on agricultural innovation requires a Greenhouse Technician to support daily operations. This role is crucial for plant care and research processes within a controlled environment, ensuring scientific advancement and operational efficiency. Responsibilities: • Perform daily corn pollination tasks including shoot bagging • Conduct tassel bagging and pollination activities 1–2 times per week • Prepare and organize plant groupings with strong attention to detail • Transfer and position plants using carts across greenhouse rooms • Perform routine sanitation tasks including disposal of regulated materials • Assist with plant care activities such as pruning • Operate facility equipment (e.g., tug) to transport plants • Follow all safety protocols and maintain ergonomic practices Qualification: • High School Diploma or GED Required Skills: • High School Diploma or GED • Valid Driver’s License • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to work independently and in team environments • Good communication skills and positive attitude • Basic MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift at least 30 lbs • Comfortable working in warm, humid greenhouse environments with pollen exposure Preferred Skills: • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Horticulture, Plant Sciences, or related field • 2+ years of relevant greenhouse or agricultural experience • Experience working in controlled environment or research settings
