Rescue Delivery Driver: Mountain View - Van/Sprinter/SUV/Truck (Sundays, 8PM-6AM)

Hello from Methodology! We make food that’s clean, healing, and incredibly delicious by using “Food as Medicine” to help people eat and feel their best. We’re seeking a dedicated, reliable, and detail-oriented Rescue Delivery Driver to join our team. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality meals to our discerning clients, often including celebrities, athletes, and individuals with specific dietary needs. We use sustainable, reusable packaging and you'll be an integral part in helping us save the planet by collecting them back when you drop off their freshly made food that week. The Gig Every week on Sundays we have drivers doing different delivery routes — sometimes, the driver assigned for a route call outs because of an emergency or illness, and we need to find a replacement. This is why we are looking for trust-worthy people with large-capacity vehicles (cargo vans, sprinter vans, SUVs, trucks) who can serve as a dedicated Back-up “Rescue” Driver. You will be the dedicated Rescue Driver for an entire area, made up of several nearby routes, and you’ll be on standby every Sunday. When you’re needed to replace drivers who called out in your assigned area, then you will be paid a special higher “rescue” rate. Rapid Orientation: You’ll be up to speed after a 1-hour orientation. Start Date: ASAP Guarantee: You will always have at least 1 guaranteed regular route assignment per month, separate from any routes you may rescue. Regular Rate: The base pay for your guaranteed route once-a-month is $23.8/hour plus a mileage reimbursement; so the average total pay comes out to $27-$37/hour. Rescuing Routes: If the driver/s scheduled to do a route calls out, you will have to step in as Rescue Driver and do the route/s. Rescue Rate: The rescue rate is an additional $1-3 per stop, depending on the particular route. Area Coverage: You will be the dedicated Rescue Driver for an entire area made up of different nearby routes Pay Schedule: Weekly. We always pay out every week on Fridays Clarity: Each route will have a pre-established pick-up time. All details will be shared with you by the dispatch team. Simplicity: Detailed drop-off instructions provided for all stops; limited interaction with recipients Pick Up Hub: You will have to pick up the orders for delivery at the hub in Mountain View, CA Delivery Schedule: Overnight Deliveries: Deliver meals to clients' homes between the hours of 8 PM and 6 AM. Responsibilities: Client care: Handle each delivery with utmost care and respect, ensuring that clients receive their meals within the correct delivery window and in excellent condition. Attention to detail: Pay close attention to delivery instructions and ensure that each meal is delivered accurately and safely. Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication dispatch. Vehicle maintenance: Ensure that your vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and in good working order. Commitment: You can commit to being on standby as a Rescue Driver for at least 2 Sundays every month, ideally 3 Sundays monthly. This is separate from your guaranteed 1 regular route assignment per month. How It Works: For the 1x/month Regular Route: You tell us your availability for the upcoming weeks, we assign you a route.You commit to showing up. For the Rescue Routes: You replace a driver who called out for a route in the area that you’re assigned as standby Back-up/Rescue Driver You show up to pick up the orders for your route at the designated pick-up hub. Each route will have an established pick-up time & date. Delivery days are always on Sundays. Load your vehicle with orders for the route and check out with the person double checking that you have each order accurately loaded. Begin deliveries: You’ll navigate to each customer’s address listed using an app, and follow the exact delivery instructions and stick to the specific delivery window times. After each delivery, you’ll take a proof of delivery (“POD”) photo. You will sometimes have to collect customers’ used packaging for repurposing and return to the hub (can be done on your next shift). We understand that everyone’s schedule may be different so we aim to provide enough flexibility to fit your unique schedule. Our routes have varying distances, times, stops, and an estimated pay-per-route. The estimated pay of each route is calculated based on factors of predicted time, mileage, and the number of deliveries. Requirements: Minimum 18 years old Valid driver’s license A demonstrated history of responsible and safe driving. A clean driving record with no major violations or accidents is highly preferred. Reliable Vehicle: Your personal vehicle is free of any odors as you’ll deliver boxes of fresh food Smartphone: Ability to capture and report proof-of-delivery photos for each Excellent Interpersonal and Customer service skills Highly organized and detail-oriented.
