Hardware Certification Engineer

Talascend is currently seeking a Hardware Certification Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Phoenix, Arizona. Overview Use your knowledge of hardware engineering to help our client deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business aviation customers. Working alongside some of the world's most talented engineers, you will contribute to the development and sustainment of advanced avionics products by performing and documenting qualification and verification tests. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals developing state-of-the-art products for new business aviation aircraft. ResponsibilitiesPlan and execute environmental and EMI qualification tests on avionics productsPrepare test reports for regulatory complianceAssist in product certification for customer and regulatory (e.g., FAA) acceptanceCommunicate non-compliance incidents to pertinent partiesUse computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment QualificationsBachelor's degree in electrical engineering6+ years experience in hardware/product engineeringExperience in environmental and/or EMI testing for avionics product qualification Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with product qualification guidance standards (DO-160, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, etc.)Basic knowledge of electronic display principlesBasic knowledge of hardware engineering standards and specificationsExperience with hardware verification testingExperience with optical testing/evaluation instrumentation for electronic display characterizationApplication of basic engineering techniques to optimize design of products, parts, systems or processes We thank all applicants for their interest.
