Patient Care Technician (CNA) - 0.9 FTE (Night Shift)Prairie Ridge Health is looking for a team member to join our Med/Surg Department in the role of Patient Care Technician. This position is 0.9 FTE (36 hours per week) working night shift. The patient care technician, under the direction of a Registered Nurse, is responsible for quality service by performing clerical tasks and patient care activities.POSITION SUMMARY The patient care technician, under the direction of a Registered Nurse, is responsible for quality service by performing clerical tasks and patient care activities. This includes maintaining and assisting with patient records, ordering supplies and services, scheduling diagnostic tests and treatments, and assisting physicians and nurses. They are a member of the healthcare team who works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, to organize, assist and implement specific aspects of the plan of care for the geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric and infant patients. They communicate in a timely manner with the patient, family and healthcare team, and document care per hospital protocol.
