Learn more at www.fmchs.comRole DescriptionHealth & Human Services of Faribault & Martin Counties (HHSFMC) is seeking candidates for our Director of Human Resources position. This position will:Provide consultation and guidance to supervisors and managers on employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, workplace conflict, and interpretation of personnel policies and labor agreements.Lead and coordinate the recruitment and selection processes, including job postings, screening applicants, developing interview materials, participating in interviews, and ensuring equitable and compliant hiring practices.Conduct workplace investigations related to employee complaints, policy violations, and misconduct, gathers and analyzes information, documents findings, and makes recommendations for resolution.Administer and support classification and compensation activities, including job analysis, position evaluations, and market comparisons to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.Administer and coordinate employee benefit and leave programs, including health and retirement plans and legally mandated leaves.Develop, coordinate, and deliver training programs for employees and supervisors on topics such as policies and procedures, respectful workplace practices, performance management, and legal compliance.Interpret and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, county policies, and collective bargaining agreements; assists in policy development and implementation.QualificationsMaster’s degree in human resources, business administration or closely related degree and two years of professional human resource experience in labor relations, classification, recruitment, applicant screening.ORBachelor’s degree in human resources or business administration or closely related field and three years of professional human resource experience in labor relations, classification, recruitment, applicant screening. ORAssociate’s degree in human resources or business administration or closely related field and five years of professional human resource experience in labor relations, classification, recruitment, applicant screening.Note: Experience can be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.Faribault & Martin Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
