About the Opportunity:The Senior Quality Engineer role is focused on ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of the marine software platform. This position contributes by partnering with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements, design and execute test strategies, and drive improvements in quality through hands-on engineering, test automation, and data validation. The role is essential for delivering dependable software that meets business-critical workflows and customer needs.3. Responsibilities:• Work within an Agile SDLC to deliver incremental business value and advance product quality.• Collaborate with product owners, engineers, architects, and quality engineers to clarify requirements and develop testable user stories.• Lead test strategy for manual and automated testing, API and database validation, exploratory testing, regression coverage, and release readiness.• Utilize AI-assisted tools to enhance test planning, automation, debugging, and defect analysis.• Design and maintain automated tests using frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium, TestNG, or Cucumber/Gherkin.• Build and maintain API automation to validate service behavior and business-critical workflows.• Use SQL to query and validate application data.• Work with CI/CD tools and deployment pipelines to validate builds, test execution, and release quality.• Troubleshoot bugs, test failures, data inconsistencies, and environment issues promptly.• Identify and address gaps in testability, automation coverage, and process.• Advocate for early quality integration in the software development lifecycle.• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate customer needs into reliable product outcomes.• Mentor junior engineers on QA practices and test automation.• Participate in scrum activities, retrospectives, backlog refinement, and design reviews.• Continuously evaluate tools and workflows to improve engineering productivity and product quality.4. Requirements:• Minimum 5 years of hands-on Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering experience.• Strong skills in test strategy, exploratory testing, regression planning, release readiness, and defect investigation.• Experience with test automation frameworks.• Proficiency in API and data validation for business-critical workflows.• Ability to use SQL for data validation and defect analysis.• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, source control, and deployment validation.• Practical experience with AI-assisted engineering or QA tools.• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.• Collaborative mindset and experience mentoring others.5.
