Tram-Tek is committed to superior quality, reliable delivery, and strong customer satisfaction, offering a professional environment for skilled manufacturing professionals.Role Description The CNC Programmer role is a full-time, on-site position located in Phoenix, AZ. This role is responsible for creating, optimizing, and updating CNC programs for milling and machining operations to manufacture parts from various materials to precise specifications. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting technical drawings, selecting appropriate tooling and machining strategies, setting up and proving out programs on CNC machines, and collaborating with machinists to ensure efficient and safe production. The CNC Programmer will also troubleshoot programming and machining issues, refine process parameters to improve quality and cycle times, and maintain accurate documentation of programs and setup instructions. The role requires close attention to detail, adherence to quality standards, and effective communication with engineering, quality, and production teams.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong CNC Programming and Programming skills for milling and other machining operations.Candidates should possess solid Machining and Milling skills, including tooling selection, setup, and process optimization.Candidates should possess the ability to read and interpret Technical Drawing and blueprints, including GD&T and tolerances.Experience with CNC programming software (e.g., CAM systems) and CNC controls (such as Fanuc, Haas, or similar) is beneficial.Prior experience in a precision manufacturing environment working with metals and plastics is preferred.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality and safety are essential.Ability to collaborate effectively with machinists, engineers, and quality personnel and to communicate clearly in written and verbal form.Relevant technical certification or vocational training in machining or manufacturing technology is beneficial; equivalent experience will be considered.
