W. W. Norton & Company, Inc., seeks an exceptional candidate with three to four years of book publicity experience to spearhead campaigns for a range of adult trade titles, primarily in the realms of current affairs/politics, history, science/technology, business/economics, personal finance, food, and fiction. The ideal candidate will demonstrate superior written and verbal communication skills, a track record of impressive results, an aptitude for quick, thorough, and effective research, a demonstrated interest in subject areas noted above, and an ability to juggle projects simultaneously with an attention to detail. This position reports to our Chief Communications Officer.Essential Job Responsibilities:Creating and executing strategic plans and pitchesDeveloping effective outreach and follow-up to print, online, broadcast, podcast, influencer, and other mediaArranging and promoting author eventsCollaborating daily with publicity, marketing, editorial, and other colleaguesPlacing op-eds, essays, and exceptsOther departmental responsibilitiesPlease note- this job description is not designed to cover all activities required of the employee.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degreeEmployment eligibility to work with W.W. Norton & Company in the USAvailability to work full business hours.Ability to work from Norton's New York City headquarters.3-4 years of book publicity experienceCompensation and Benefits*Currently available benefits include:Annual compensation for this position is $60,000-$70,000.
