Disability Inclusion Manager

The Director, Disability Inclusion plays a critical role in key projects that ensure Relay’s employees are supported through a disability inclusion lens. This person will be responsible for leading and implementing our Community Integrated Employment services (CIE). They will provide disability inclusion training and project management for disability inclusion reviews and audits of Relay work sites including our affordable housing properties and practices. They will also coordinate Relay’s engagement with community partners and events. Success in this role requires attendance at the Relay Resources main office during normal business hours and a flexible schedule when needed for support. What you will do Lead our Competitive Integrated Employment (CIE) services to successfully place people with disabilities into community jobs. This includes contract and service delivery compliance. Complete monthly billing for all services and work with finance department to submit on a regular basis. Collaborate with Disability Inclusion leaders to create, maintain, lead and attend employee training. Create and implement disability inclusion evaluation processes to ensure ongoing improvements including, but not limited to, accessibility, support, and training. Assist with the assessment and audit of Relay’s services and processes to ensure that it is disability inclusive. Work with Finance and Workplace Innovation to determine and maintain timelines, costs, and other essentials. Identify and maintain relationships with community partners whose resources are beneficial to Relay employees. Organize community partner information including points of contact, resources offered, employees/residents referred, and communications plans and create and maintain a database to track and update on a regular basis. Coordinate a presence for Relay Resources at community events including attending events, supplying an exhibitor booth, sponsorship, and other collaborative activities. You are excellent at working independently with minimal supervision to make mission-oriented decisions. Manage all aspects of certification audit and review through VR, ODDS and CARF (Center for Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities). Accurately maintaining files and record-keeping systems across several databases is fulfilling You’re good at prioritizing multiple projects at once and you follow through on tasks and projects to completion You have a lot of experience working with or are comfortable using Microsoft Outlook Word, Excel, and PowerPoint You understand the importance of strict confidentiality standards You’re willing and able to complete a criminal history background check and/or fingerprinting as appropriate at any time during employment for compliance You have reliable transportation to get to Relay’s main campus and other worksites as needed during varied hours throughout the day and evening How you know you’re qualified You have a BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university in a social services-related field and/or any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the job duties (required). You have a minimum of 5-7 years working with persons with physical, mental, and/or cognitive disabilities and/or you have lived experience that informs your ability to perform the role. You have significant experience in Competitive Integrated Employment (CIE), which includes knowledge of Vocational Rehabilitation (VR), Oregon Developmental Disability Services (ODDS), and Ticket to Work. Knowledge of Transition services is a plus. You have at least two years of additional experience in a medical, mental health, or social work setting You know and are continually learning about disabilities, vocational issues, associated terminology, medical/educational/governmental documentation and best practices around disability inclusion processes/strategies. Bilingual/multi-lingual communication is a plus.
