This is a technical internal support position to support the Solution Architecture team in building out the demonstration systems, making use of the Kratos OpenSpace platform. As part of building out the demonstration systems, this role will support our team in transforming raw data into meaningful insights. This role focuses on gathering data from different components and systems, using automated data flows to populate a database, developing dashboards, generating visualizations using Grafana (and Kratos OpsCenter), and working with various database tools to improve data accessibility and decision-making.Essential Functions And ResponsibilitiesAssist in designing, building, and maintaining interactive dashboards for the demonstration systems using Grafana and OpsCenterCollect, clean, and organize datasets from multiple sourcesWrite queries (SQL or similar) to extract and manipulate data from relational and non-relational databasesSupport the development of automated data pipelines and reporting workflowsMake use of available integrated AI components for data gathering, interpretation and presentingCollaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data needs and visualization requirementsTroubleshoot dashboard issues, optimize queries, and ensure data accuracyDocument processes, data sources, and visualization standardsMaintain, Support and Document the Product Demonstration systems.Experience And SkillsCurrently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fieldBasic understanding of data visualization principles and dashboard designFamiliarity with Grafana, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools (Grafana preferred)Experience with SQL and at least one database platform (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)Foundational understanding of Python or Java or similar language is a plusBasic Understanding of Kafka data streaming and integration is a plusStrong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and within a team environment Kratos Defense is an Equal Opportunity Affirmative Action Employer.
