Senior Civil Project Manager | Principal Civil Engineer | Site Lead Position OverviewWe are seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager to lead land development projects from concept through construction. The role combines technical civil engineering expertise with strong project management and client-facing skills to deliver residential, multi-family, and commercial developments on time, on budget, and in compliance with codes and permitting requirements. The successful candidate will coordinate internal design teams and external consultants, manage project delivery and financials, and oversee construction administration and site activities.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage land development projects (single-family, multi-family, residential, commercial) from planning and entitlements through final design and construction administration.Serve as the primary client contact, manage client expectations, prepare proposals, and present project status updates.Develop and maintain project schedules, forecasts, budgets, and resource plans; monitor progress and adjust plans to meet milestones and financial targets.Prepare, review, and approve invoices, change orders, and project billing; coordinate with accounting to ensure accurate project financials.Coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams and external consultants; provide technical guidance to designers and engineers on grading, drainage, utilities, and site design.Produce and review civil engineering deliverables including site plans, grading plans, utility plans, SWPPP, and permit applications; ensure compliance with local codes and standards.Perform quality assurance and quality control on engineering work; enforce design standards and best practices.Conduct regular site visits and construction administration activities; coordinate with contractors during grading, utilities, and stormwater installations; resolve field issues in a timely manner.Use engineering and modeling tools (AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, CUHP, SWMM, Civil CAD) to support design and technical analyses; review consultant modeling and hydrology/hydraulics reports.Manage project documentation, reporting, and close-out deliverables; maintain clear, organized records for permits, approvals, and client communication.Mentor and supervise junior engineers and designers; support professional development and ensure high-quality deliverables.Collaborate with permitting authorities and assist with entitlements, municipal approvals, and coordination with utility providers.QualificationsBachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field.Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.7+ years of civil engineering experience with a focus on land development projects.Demonstrated ability in project delivery: preparing proposals, forecasts, budgets, reporting, and invoice approval.Strong technical skills in site design, grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater management, entitlements, and permitting.Proficiency with design and analysis software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, CUHP, or SWMM.Experience with construction administration, site visits, contractor coordination, and resolving field issues.Familiarity with local building and site codes, permitting processes, and municipal review procedures.Excellent communication and client-management skills, with the ability to lead teams, mentor designers, and work cross-functionally.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain strong attention to detail.BenefitsCompany stock opportunitiesCompetitive Salary and Annual Bonus ProgramMedical | Dental | Vision Disability and Life insurance401k with matchPTO | Sick time | Holidays Employee Assistant & Wellness ProgramsCareer Development programs
