Each visit is expected to take approximately 1 hour. A consistent weekly schedule is required. They are seeking a dependable part-time Mailing Assistant to help manage incoming mail and ensure documents are properly organized, scanned and distributed to remote team members.Job Description:The Mailing Assistant will visit the client's DC office on a consistent part-time schedule to collect and process incoming mail. This role is well suited for someone looking to supplement their current part-time work, school schedule or other commitments with a reliable weekly assignment.Key Responsibilities:Retrieve incoming mail from the office on scheduled daysOpen and organize mail while retaining all original materials, including envelopesRecord incoming mail in a daily tracking logScan mail and supporting documents into organized digital filesMaintain accurate electronic records using Microsoft OneDrive and ExcelPrepare processed mail for shipment to remote employeesPackage and send outgoing materials through the appropriate shipping serviceFollow established procedures to ensure mail is handled accurately and securelyKeep the workspace organized and maintain confidentiality when handling incoming correspondenceQualifications:Previous administrative, office support, mailroom or clerical experience preferredComfortable using Microsoft Office, OneDrive and basic spreadsheet functionsHighly reliable and able to work independently in an office settingStrong attention to detail and organizationAble to follow established procedures consistentlyProfessional and trustworthy when handling incoming correspondenceMust be able to commit to a consistent weekly schedule during regular business hoursAdditional Details:Direct start with no formal interview process anticipatedAssignment is expected to begin October 5Work is generally expected to take no more than 1 hour per visitSchedule will typically be 2 days per week and may increase to 3 days per week during the organization's busier mailing seasonCasual office attire is appropriateConvenient DC location within walking distance of MetroPerks:Flexible part-time scheduleConsistent weekly hoursShort, predictable work visitsOpportunity to supplement existing part-time work or school scheduleConvenient downtown DC locationIndependent work environmentAddison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
