Job Title: DevSecOps ArchitectLocation: 100% RemoteDuration: 9-12 months contract (with potential for extension)Clearance requirement: Must be able to obtain/maintain Public Trust ClearanceJob Description:We are seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Architect to join our team, partnering with Deloitte to support the USDA. This position offers the opportunity to work 100% remotely on a 9-12 month contract, with the potential for extension. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building and securing software development and deployment processes using DevSecOps practices. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the integration of security at every stage of the development pipeline, ensuring that security and compliance are ingrained within the application lifecycle.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement DevSecOps strategies to automate and enhance the security posture of development processes.Integrate security practices into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to create and maintain a secure software development lifecycle.Implement tools and frameworks for infrastructure as code, configuration management, and vulnerability management.Perform threat modeling and risk assessment to identify and mitigate security risks.Ensure compliance with USDA security policies and guidelines.Monitor security events and incidents and implement appropriate responses.Advocate for secure coding practices and security awareness throughout the development organization.Maintain and obtain necessary public trust clearance as required for the role.Required Qualifications:Proven experience as a DevSecOps Architect or similar role, with a focus on security within DevOps environments.Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, and Git.Expertise in integrating security tools into CI/CD pipelines, including static code analysis, dynamic application security testing, and vulnerability scanning.Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security features.Experience with infrastructure as code and configuration management tools.Solid understanding of network security, application security, and cloud security best practices.Familiarity with federal security standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, FISMA).Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience working on federal contracts, especially with USDA.Certifications in AWS/Azure Security, CISSP, or other relevant security credentials.Experience with Zero Trust Architecture principles and implementation.
