In this high-impact role, this position is responsible for the operational function of the facility before, during, and after an event as well as assisting with converting the facility to an event-ready status. You will support the upkeep of the newly renovated business facility for Player 1`5 Group as well as the practice facility for the Phoenix Mercury, while playing a key role in broader department initiatives.What You Will DoPrimary contact for events staffSchedule support staff when needed for event coverageInventory and order suppliesSweep and mop floorsClean and maintain washrooms, dressing rooms, office spaces, and facility access areasClean glass & other surfacesCollect and empty garbage receptaclesParticipate in the preparation, setup, and completion of conversionsInteract with internal departments to meet their day-to-day building needsOperate with a sense of urgency while prioritizing facility needsCollaborate with full-time/part-time staff to ensure facility needs are metComplete setup sheets specific to each eventPractice current OSHA standardsOther duties as assigned What We Need From Our Lead Facility Services TechnicianMaintain day-to-day building cleanlinessThis person must be able to handle working in a high-demand fast-paced environment.Be responsive to the needs of guests, vendors, and staffPromptly report all maintenance issuesAdhere to all safety and infection control procedures to ensure sanitary conditionsMaintain regular and reliable attendanceFollow verbal and written instructionHave experience and knowledge in operation with current OSHA standardsMust be able to carry on a conversation both on the phone and in personAbility to Read, Write & Speak in EnglishAbility to transit around the facility for extended periodsWorks with Chemicals/Hazardous MaterialsDevelop, manage, and prioritize event setup sheetsCommunicate via work radioStrong time management skillsTeam playerBasic computer skills preferredPartner with Mercury Coordinators and staff daily to resolve their needsExperience/ Education RequirementsHigh school diploma or GEDWhat You Can ExpectThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by Lead Facility Services Technician to optimally perform the essential functions of this role.
