Senior Staff AccountantAustin, TX – Onsite – Full TimeOur client is adding a Senior Staff Accountant to their team. If you thrive in a startup environment and are passionate about making an impact, we would love to hear from you.ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for but not limited to:Performing revenue accounting under ASC 606 and inventory accounting processesExecuting and supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activitiesPreparing and posting journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and reclassificationsEnsuring timely and accurate completion of close activities in accordance with reporting deadlinesAnalyzing financial results and investigating variancesPreparing and reviewing balance sheet account reconciliationsEnsuring reconciliations are completed accurately in a timely manner with appropriate supporting documentationIdentifying and resolving discrepancies and aged reconciling itemsMaintaining reconciliation schedules and supporting continuous improvement of reconciliation processesSupporting external audits and quarterly reviewsAssisting with SOX complianceEnsuring adherence to internal accounting policies and proceduresMaintaining strong documentation to support audit readinessPartnering with FP&A and other cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reportingSupporting accounting for operational activitiesAssisting in the implementation and improvement of accounting systems and processesRequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.Minimum of 5-8 years of accounting experienceStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principlesUnderstanding of ASC 606 and long-term contract accounting a plusFamiliarity with public company reporting and SEC requirementsExperience with enterprise ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or equivalent)Ability to work with financial reporting and data analysis toolsCPA, or equivalent advanced certification a plusExperience in a public company or IPO-ready environmentPublic accounting experience (Big 4 or national firm)Experience with account reconciliation tools (e.g., FloQast or similar)Exposure to inventory and cost accounting
