Senior Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer

My client, a growing and highly successful Architectural & Engineering Consultancy firm working across a wide variety of markets and on numerous projects, are looking for a full-time Senior Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer. The role is based in New York, and various locations will be considered, as the role is on a Hybrid working model.Relocation packages will be considered for qualified candidates.Typical projects will involve field work, design, coordination, and construction administration services.A successful candidate will be able to work well in a team, provide leadership to Jr Engineers and Architects, and be capable of developing new business.Progression within this role is a real probability for the right candidate.Role responsibilities including but not limited too:Supervise the plumbing and fire protection engineering staff to develop concepts, strategies, construction documents, and engineering reports for various projects.Ability to provide mechanical leadership for large multi-discipline design projects, including fire protection design.Complete fire protection hydraulic calculations using industry software.Responsible for developing and directing the fire protection project team, and to meet projects goals as well as maintain quality work product.Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.Build, develop and maintain client relationships.Business development and proposal writing.Direct interaction with clients around analysis of design options, cost benefit comparisons, as well as communicating results to assist the decision-making process.RequirementsBachelor’s degree minimum in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Sciences or a related field.Experience of working in a professional Consultancy Services or A/E Design firm.Strong writing, communication and organizational skillsAbility to work on various projects simultaneously, work under pressure and multi-task.PE license is preferred, or desire to obtain/finish obtaining.This role is paying an excellent basic salary in addition to a generous benefits and bonus package.Contact me further for a confidential conversation to explore this opportunity on matt@wesearchpeople.com or directly message me on LinkedIn.
