Work Based Learning CTE Coordinator (2025-26 SY)

General Statement of Duties The Work-Based Learning Career and Technical Education Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and reporting high-quality work-based learning (HQWBL) experiences in accordance with VDOE guidelines, as well as performing related duties under the supervision of the Administrative Coordinator of Workforce Development. The Work-Based Learning Career and Technical Education Coordinator should be professionally competent and knowledgeable about high-demand careers, job-experience placements, and/or career counseling. In addition, the WBL CTE Coordinator should understand career and technical education programming, work-based learning experiences, and career preparation. Experience working with School Links is a plus.This assignment is 12 month/260-Day assignmentEssential DutiesThe physical demands of this assignment include the ability to sit and stand for extended periods and the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds.Professional Expectations:Fosters meaningful public relations with business and industry partners and any other relevant entities, to generate and grow the work-based learning database opportunities for studentsSet up and maintain HQWBL tracking platform for student applications and progress in compliance with VDOE procedureEnsure all HQWBL experiences are documented and reported at the end of the school yearWork with teachers to include HQWBL experiences as part of their CTE-related programs by speaking to classes and working with teachers/students to complete necessary paperworkWork cooperatively with teachers in identifying eligible CTE students for HQWBL opportunitiesEnsure students participating in HQWBL are approved through the VDOE certification process.Maintain HQWBL information on the Schoolinks platform.Minimum QualificationsMust have or be eligible to receive for a state teachers license.A minimum bachelor's degree is required.Work experience in a related Work-Based Learning field, CTE education or career counselingStrong computer skills to develop and utilize spreadsheets, student and employer databases, and Major ClarityAdditional InformationThis position is for the 2025-2026 school year.
