Job Title : Product Composition Coordinator Location: South Portland, Maine,- Onsite Industry: Biotechnology / Diagnostics Pay Rate: $42/hr/W2 Duration: 8 Months No Benefits Provided OverviewProduct Composition Coordinator to support divisional compliance with product safety regulations and internal quality standards. This role is responsible for managing product composition data, supporting Safety Data Sheet (SDS) generation, and ensuring compliance with Product Safety and Product Stewardship requirements across sites. The position serves as a key liaison between Technical Product Support, R&D, Operations, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and external suppliers.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and support Product Safety systems, programs, and SDS inventory for finished products and intermediatesCollect, organize, and verify product composition data required for SDS generationDevelop standardized product composition templates and streamlined processesEnsure compliance with Product Safety, Product Stewardship, EHS, and regulatory requirementsPartner with Quality, Operations, and site teams to integrate product safety requirements into manufacturing and process developmentConduct product and component assessments to identify supply chain and regulatory impactsSupport long-term Product Safety and Product Stewardship strategy, continuous improvement, and program developmentManage multiple complex technical projects, priorities, and timelines effectivelyCoordinate with third-party consultants, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and compliant deliverablesRequired QualificationsBachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related scientific field5+ years of experience in biotechnology, product safety, product stewardship, or related scientific/regulatory environmentStrong experience with Safety Data Sheet (SDS) generation and product composition documentationKnowledge of Product Safety regulations, EHS standards, and internal compliance systemsProven technical project management and cross-functional coordination experiencePreferred SkillsProduct Safety & Product StewardshipSafety Data Sheets (SDS)EHS ComplianceBiochemistry / Chemistry / BiologyQuality AssuranceTechnical DocumentationScientific CommunicationProject ManagementProblem SolvingCross-functional Collaboration
