And our teams are constantly pushing boundaries and challenging the status quo in pursuit of a brighter future.Job SummaryThis hands-on role supports Bird’s vehicle operations within one of our central and/or service facilities. Including (but not limited to) the following:VehicleRepair: MechanicalResponsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing vehicle issues and repairing vehicles to meet functional specifications. Repairs include (but are not limited to) brakes, front forks, handlebar components, etc.Repair: ElectricalResponsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing vehicle issues and repairing vehicles to meeting functional specifications. Repairs include (but are not limited to) vehicle “Brain”, battery, LCD screen, wiring, etc.ChargingResponsible for meeting the vehicle charging schedule, which includes: moving vehicle pallets to and from charging areas, plugging-in/unplugging vehicles, and indicating vehicle charge dateHardware modification and troubleshootingWorking with cross-functional Bird teams to develop processes and modify vehicles to meet business objectivesQuality controlResponsible for validating that the functionality of new or repaired vehicles to meet technical/business requirements Shipping/receivingResponsible for the input and output for materials delivered to or shipping from the facility, communicate with delivery drivers, track orders via our internal systems, and load and unload trucksInventory ManagementResponsible for the tracking production equipment and materials in the facility, which includes spare parts, production assembly components, tools, safety equipment, computers, etc.ResponsibilitiesEnsure adherence of process SOPs and maintain 5S standards for designated work areaWork in a safe manner, following the departmental Safety Rules, including use of PPE, reporting any unsafe conditions/practices observed and reporting any accidents or injuries on the date of the incidentEscalate questions regarding tools and processes to SupervisorsMust HavesDesire to work with Bird in a high-growth environment.A passion for technology and vehicles.Comfortable with navigating and using smartphone apps.Problem-solving mentality.Ability to learn quickly and adapt.A strong understanding of hand tools.Ability to be very active: bend, stoop, and lift up to 80 pounds up to 3 feet off the ground on a frequent basis.Excellent time management, communication, and organization skillsAbility to be both self-directed and work well in a team environmentKeep work station clean and organized.Willing to perform heavy or repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of timeAbility to stand for 8 hours/dayShift: Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pmPay: $20.00Why Bird MattersEvery Time You Hop On a Bird, You’re Helping Build a More Livable City.
