Kitchen Manager Job Description
Overall focus: Lead our team of cooks to make Double Standard a great place to work, and a great place for customers to eat & drink
Schedule: You’ll work 5 days per week. This will be an expected workload of 45 – 50 hours per week (mostly evening shifts). While it will be rare, you may be needed to work on scheduled days off if there’s a problem or emergency that requires it.
Compensation: $55,000/year salary. We have a performance-based bonus program, that can exceed $10,000 annually. Medical insurance is paid, along with other employment benefits. Three weeks of paid vacation annually.
Specific duties:
- Be a leader that your co-workers can count on; there’s no such thing as “not my job”. - Solve problems. “Figure it out”.
- We don’t 86 things from the menu. Coordinate all food orders, organizing and consolidating, and prep.
- Cleanliness, always, at all times.
- Full knowledge of Menu and daily specials (ingredients, preparation, recipes, food modifications etc.)
- Make sure everything is labeled and dated corrected, and items are being rotated first in first out. Expiration dates are just guidelines. Periodically check quality of prepped items.
- Be the person who keeps employee morale high. Be positive! And have food culture be at the forefront of who we are.
- Perform inventory, invoice entry, & payroll reports each week, producing timely & accurate results.
