Site Supervisor/Asst Site Supervisor
JOB REQUIREMENTS: The City of Onalaska is seeking to hire SiteSupervisors and Assistant Site Supervisors. Scheduled hours vary foreach program. An employee in these positions are responsible for eitherdirecting or assisting with directing day camp program activities andsafety, facility preparation and supervising program staff. Work isperformed according to established guidelines and reviewed by theRecreation Coordinator. Essential Job Functions: Depending on positionwill either perform (Site Supervisor) or assist (Assistant SiteSupervisor) with the following duties. Train, supervise and evaluateseasonal/part-time staff. Schedule staff and verify staff hours usingcity supported scheduling software. Direct and assist with dailyactivities and facility preparation and clean up. Order or purchaseneeded supplies for camp activities. Review, adjust and conduct trainingactivities for staff around the Staff and Parent Manuals and follow theguidelines set forth by these manuals. Maintain records of campers\'emergency contact information. Assure that the records are taken whencampers leave the facility for outings such as walks, trips to theOnalaska Aquatic Center, all field trips, etc. Compile Incident/AccidentReport Forms, Conduct Reports and all other required paperwork, checkfor complete and correct information. Ensure that the paperwork is sentthrough proper channels in a timely fashion. Dispense medication asneeded, log in the Medication Record and ensure correct records are keptby staff under your supervision. Plan and lead staff meetings, trainingsand workshops. Maintain a clean and organized environment for both staffand campers. Responds to accidents and emergencies in an appropriatemanner; administering first aid according to the blood borne pathogenexposure control plan. Completes incident and accident reports inaccordance with department policy. Perform the job in compliance withCity policies, procedures, rules and the employee handbook. Perform thejob safely in compliance with City safety rules and procedures. Performother duties as requested or assigned. Must be 18 years or older.CPR/First Aid Certification required (class available upon hire).Minimum of one year of recreation and/or child care experience. Mustpossess supervision and leadership dispositions/skills. Must possessgood knowledge of school-aged activity programs. Compensation: Wagerange for these seasonal, limited-term positions is \$16.00 to \$20.00per hour depending on qualifications, budget and/or position.
