Dock Merchandise Control AssociateJob SummaryWe are looking for a detail-oriented Dock Merchandise Control Associate to inspect and verify merchandise at our Distribution Center. This position ensures merchandise meets purchase order requirements, quality standards, labeling requirements, and store-readiness expectations.ResponsibilitiesInspect merchandise to ensure it meets purchase order and company quality standards.Check product labels, fiber content, care instructions, country of origin, sizing, logos, graphics, and hangtags.Identify, document, and report merchandise discrepancies.Work with the Merchandise Control team and supervisors to resolve issues.Use computer systems, SCAN, Mainframe, and other devices to complete audits and merchandise checks.Review retail pricing and identify pricing concerns.Report poor size distributions, unplanned merchandise, and merchandise intended for other Distribution Centers.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.Assist in other departments and duties as needed.QualificationsStrong attention to detail.Good communication and teamwork skills.Basic computer skills.Knowledge of merchandise, fabrics, sizing, and quality standards preferred.Ability to identify quality and presentation issues.Good problem-solving skills.Understanding of how merchandise decisions can affect shrink and profitability.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to stand and walk for 7+ hours during a shift.Ability to work overtime and assist in other areas when needed.Payrate: 22.50/ hr.Monday - Saturday: 1st shift & 2nd shiftWork EnvironmentThis is a Distribution Center position that requires regular movement throughout the facility and hands-on merchandise inspection.
