Senior Interior Designer
Senior DesignerSenior Designers are responsible for providing quality and intuitive designs tailored to customer needs while maintaining a cohesive brand message for the company. The Senior Designer works closely with the project team and is responsible for project deliverables, meeting overall project design schedules, as well as preparing and presenting design proposals and concepts. The Senior Designer role requires creativity, passion, excellent communication, strong project management skills and fresh, evolving design skills. This role will help set the pace of projects and ensure that all client communications are held to the highest standard and completed in a timely manner
Essential Job FunctionsDesign:
Work with clients on residential and commercial projects
Manage client expectations around project budget and design service hours
Mentor, guide and manager a Junior Designer through the entire design process
Lead client through Concetti's phased design process
Advocate for clients when needed with third parties throughout the process
Execute project in accordance with client design contract & write up change orders as needed
Design and present solutions to clients following phased approach (when appropriate)
Maintain consistent communication with internal team, professionals and trades
Embrace Concetti design process and follows process to ensure team cohesion
Create dynamic design solutions using Chief Architect
Source all architectural and procurement selections for design projects
Create and obtain quote & bid requests
Personally attend and provide white glove service to ensure the success of furniture delivery and installations
Actively collaborate with contractors, architects, engineers, and trades, to ensure job success
Perform interior styling as needed
Actively collaborate with marketing team to document the design process
Other:
Works harmoniously and collaboratively with team members to accomplish agency objectives.
Is self-aware and seeks help when needed
All other duties as assigned
Educational RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture preferably from a CIDA accredited institution
Experience RequirementsMinimum of 5 years of client facing experience in Interior Design
Knowledge of all aspects of Interior Design from inception to completion including:
strong understanding of new construction and remodels
design and materials for residential and commercial projects
design principles and aesthetics
space planning methodology
architectural selections, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications
soft furnishings: furniture, window treatments, area rugs, art and accessories
human centered design, preferred
execution of technical drawings
design trends, material costs, building codes and ADA laws, building systems
Software ExperienceMastery of Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Forms), Mac computers and devices.
