Chemical Technician Job Duties
Description
Chemical Technicians referred to as Chem Techs, will operate to a dedicated area and provide chemical program support to the area Foreman (en). Daily activities are in direct support of each Foreman to achieve production goals while meeting all safety requirements. Overall chemical program strategy, direction will be worked in conjunction with the chemical advisor in support of the area Foremen.
Job Duties:
· Maintain chemical pump inventory and provide routine checks and maintenance
· Maintain lab data associated with the respected area
· Maintain KPI logs to assure that metric are being monitored and met
· Communicate issues with the chemical vendors in order assure quick response
· Maintain and communicate lease assignments
· Develop and maintain excellent team working relationships with EOG field employees
· Develop and maintain excellent team working relationships with all vendors
· Provide insight to the Chemical Advisor and EOG personnel as to improvement opportunities
· Provide innovative atmosphere for vendors to operate within in order to encourage chemical research and development opportunities
· Maintain records such as hot-oil treatments, failures, invoices, etc.
· Provide assistance to field operations as per Foreman
· Maintain chemical inventories and maintenance of UltraFab units and performance
· Maintain C5 pumps, inventories, and performance
· Attend and participate in quarterly chemical meetings with vendors to review metrics
· Attend and participate in regularly scheduled internal chemical team meetings in order to share best practices, discuss issues and concerns, and set action items for improvements
· Attend all Foreman/Lease Operator meetings in order to best understand and support EOG field operations
· Maintain good working relationships with production engineers
· Maintain good documentation of daily events
· Perform field tests such as fluids observations, grind-outs, gas monitoring, and sampling
· Work with Chemical Advisor to review programs and develop strategic and tactical goals for improvement
· Provide assistance and expertise to address system upsets and chemical applications
· Work in a team environment with other EOG operational areas such as pipeline, HUBS, and facilities.
· Provide field spot check quality control of chemicals and safety audits
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
