Registered Polysomnographer - Part Time Job Category: Clinical Requisition Number: REGIS Part-Time Grand Haven, MI 49417, USA Job Details Description The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to; perform comprehensive testing, analysis, associated interventions, and related duties for sleep testing disorders and other functions as assigned. JOB STATUS: Part Time 40 hours per pay period, 7:30-4 Day What are the Minimum Skills, Experience and Educational Requirements? High School Diploma or equivalent Registered Polysomnographic Technician. Complete and thorough knowledge of procedures and techniques. Two or more years' experience Proficient with Windows based computer software BLS required. Highly motivated, proven excellence in written and verbal communication, and customer service. Must complete an average of 10 CE's a year to complete 30 CE's in 3 years. What are the Critical Demands of the Job? Ability to handle frequent lifting and repositioning of patients and equipment, including sudden unpredictable situations that demand speed and dexterity. Overall vision is necessary, including color and depth perception, reading and close up work and a complete peripheral field of vision. Regular exposure to stressful situations Ability to communicate with patients in a less than awake state. Must be able to lift over 25 pounds. Must remain awake in a darkened environment for extended periods of time. What Special Skills are needed? Must have ability to maintain focus and professional composure. Must have ability to maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor at all times. Must be dependable and emotionally stable. Ability to work with all types and conditions of patients. Maintain good standing with the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, obtain CEU's and assure licensure is current. What are the Working Conditions? Works in a safe and pleasant environment.
