Senior Software Development EngineerLocation: O'Fallon, Missouri (1000 Technology)Duration: 24 MonthsConversion to an employee prior to that if candidate is strong.SDRAM team (Smart Data Real time Account Management) on the CERA (Commercial Expense Reporting and Analytics) program. This is growing part of MC with a goal of becoming 20% of MC's revenue over the next several years.Part of the CERA program and part of the software engineer guild as a participant.Development team for a component that interfaces with a 3rd party (TSYS) for near real time information to commercial card users.This team is very small, there is a tech lead, and another contractor whom has been on the team for a year, a product owner, and a tester. This team will have more upcoming enhancements, including a Bank of America contract that will expand the functionality. So we also need to convert to using API's and moving to cloud.Management style is more hands off, I let the tech lead provide technical guidance, but anything else regarding their position, prioritization, or process I am here for. We have a large, diverse network to continue learning from, we are using Axon, PCF, we have microservices. Work closely with other developers to design of new functionality and enhancements to MasterCard Commercial products.Demonstrate expertise of principles, theories, and concepts plus in-depth knowledge of business / functional requirements gathering as part of the software development lifecycle.Participate in major projects and complex assignments with broad scope and long-term business implications. Create solutions with high level of innovation, cost effectiveness, and high quality. Lead day to day system development and maintenance activities to meet service level agreements (SLAs).Collaborate with business and technical partners to identify opportunities, identify efficiencies, identify risks, and solutions.Must participate in all facets of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).Insure effective and secure coding practices in alignment with best practices and secure coding procedures.Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience.Strong Java, Hibernate, UNIX Shell scripting, REST & SOAP APIs, Oracle SQL.Angular 2.0 or higher experience a plus.Ability to quickly learn new technologies, development tools, and frameworks.Experience in micro services a plus.Experience in cloud development a plus.
