Supply Chain Specialist12+ Months with open for extensionMossville, ILRate-38/hourTeam/Environment: Insurance Supply Group called Control Tower, deal with suppliers that don’t supply difference products as quickly as Caterpillar needs them. This will be focus on supplier run rate and control tower. Will lead teams with specific suppliers that are having difficulties shipping in timely manner and when a supplier reaches an urgent level we then get together to discuss next steps. Usually 1 meeting a week to review data with the team and needs are being meet in a specific format. Lead will also provide some guidance for example a supplier has 2 different ** sites that need material which one needs the material the most who is higher priority . Involves inside and outside purchasing. Reviewing the data for those suppliers. Also looking at risks in what supplier won’t be able to supply the material in time to Caterpillar sites. 2 people running control towers right now. This person will be an addition to that team. Top Skills/Exp: 2+ years of hands on exp within Supply Chain w/ Manufacturing – able to understand how a facility is scheduling material each day or buffer stock into the orders. What’s needed for actual production vs just a stock order. (anyone with logistics or supply chain background is very helpful in this role)Need to have exp w/ Microsoft products (teams, outlook, power BI and Excel)Prior Caterpillar exp is very helpful (would move candidates to the top) Soft Skills:Communication will be critical working with buyers, suppliers, internal teams etc.Comfortable leading meetings.Speak clearly and not get emotional during meetings.Education/Exp:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Supply Chain (Preferred)Need to have at least an Associates Degree.2-4 years experience in Supply Chain/LogisticsIf you are interested, please forward your resume to Satish.a@net2source.com and call me at (201) 484-7963 Ext.389 or please refer any suitable candidates for this role.
