Make an Impact: Volunteer at WeCare Shop

YPNis a nonprofit organization that has been providing early childhood, youth development and prenatal and parenting education and support for over 35 years. Services are provided in Linn, Iowa, Benton and Jones counties in varying degrees and formats.,Through YPN's prenatal and parenting programs, community members have the chance to make a real difference by donating to our WeCare Shop, a special retail space where participants can “shop” for essentials using points they earn for making healthy choices. Donations can include baby clothing, furniture, personal care items, books, strollers, diapers, and more—all items that help our families thrive.We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic volunteer to join us in supporting our families at the WeCare Shop. In this role, you’llAssist participants with shopping and navigating the storeHelp keep the shop organized and well-stockedManage laundry for clothing itemsPerform basic data entry tasks (easy to learn, very simple)Support other day-to-day tasks as neededThis is a recurring volunteer opportunity, availableTuesdays 11 00 AM – 1 00 PMWednesdays 1 00 PM – 3 00 PMCommitment WeeklyAll volunteers are required to complete paperwork, an interview, and a background check before starting.If you enjoy working with families, have a heart for helping others, and like hands-on, rewarding work, this is the perfect opportunity to make a tangible impact in our community!
