Safety Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety Coordinator to join our organization’s safety and compliance team. This role is essential in developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programs that promote a secure working environment across manufacturing operations. The Safety Coordinator will ensure adherence to all relevant safety regulations, conduct training sessions, and perform thorough investigations of incidents to prevent future occurrences. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of occupational health standards, and OSHA certified.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and monitor safety policies aligned with OSHA standards and occupational health best practices.Conduct regular safety inspections and audits within manufacturing facilities to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.Lead safety training and development programs for employees, including CPR, first aid, and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) compliance procedures.Investigate workplace incidents thoroughly, perform root cause analysis, and prepare detailed report writing to document findings and corrective measures.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of workers' compensation law and ensure organizational compliance with reporting requirements.Collaborate with management to establish emergency response plans and conduct drills to enhance preparedness.Promote a culture of safety awareness through ongoing communication, training sessions, and engagement initiatives.Assist in maintaining EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) documentation and records for audits and regulatory inspections.Support workers' compensation processes by coordinating claims procedures and ensuring proper documentation.SkillsProven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations and occupational health standards.Certification in first aid, CPR, OSHA 30 AND 510, related emergency response training.Knowledge of EPA regulations relevant to manufacturing operations.Familiarity with workers' compensation law, report writing, and incident investigation techniques.Ability to perform root cause analysis effectively to identify underlying issues.Strong communication skills for delivering training sessions and preparing comprehensive reports.Demonstrated ability to develop safety programs that foster a proactive safety culture.Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in recordkeeping and compliance documentation.
