Senior Risk Analyst

Senior Information Protection & Risk Management (IPRM) AnalystHybrid in Charlotte, NC (3 days onsite per week)12-Month Contract with Potential Extension and/or Conversion****Unable to Provide Sponsorship or do C2C****Position OverviewAlly Financial is seeking a Senior Information Protection & Risk Management (IPRM) Analyst to support enterprise risk, compliance, and information protection initiatives. This individual will partner with stakeholders across the organization to assess adherence to enterprise standards, identify control gaps, document findings, and drive remediation efforts through collaboration with business and technology teams.This role is ideal for a professional with experience in risk management, regulatory compliance, governance, or information protection within a banking or financial services environment. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to evaluate policies and standards, identify areas of risk, and coordinate remediation activities across multiple teams.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and assess enterprise standards, policies, procedures, and supporting documentation for compliance and effectiveness.Identify gaps, control deficiencies, and potential areas of risk within existing processes and controls.Document findings, recommendations, and remediation plans in a clear and concise manner.Partner with business, technology, and information protection teams to track and coordinate remediation efforts.Escalate identified risks, compliance concerns, and unresolved issues to appropriate stakeholders.Support regulatory examinations, audits, and compliance reviews by providing documentation, evidence, and status reporting.Monitor remediation efforts and provide updates on progress, risks, and outstanding action items.Develop and maintain reporting, metrics, and dashboards related to risk findings and remediation activities.Ensure alignment between enterprise standards and operational practices across the organization.Facilitate communication and collaboration among stakeholders to drive timely resolution of identified issues.Note: This position is responsible for identifying, documenting, and coordinating remediation efforts. The individual will not be responsible for directly implementing technical remediation solutions.First 30 DaysDuring the initial onboarding period, the consultant will:Become familiar with Ally's information protection standards, policies, and control framework.Review existing documentation and governance processes.Establish relationships with key stakeholders across IPRM, Data Protection, and partner teams.Assess current documentation and identify opportunities for improvement.Begin evaluating standards and control adherence to identify initial gap and remediation opportunities.Required Qualifications5+ years of experience in Risk Management, Information Security, Compliance, Governance, Audit, or a related field.Experience within Banking, Financial Services, or other highly regulated industries.Strong understanding of policies, standards, controls, and governance frameworks.Experience supporting regulatory examinations, audits, or compliance reviews.Exceptional documentation and written communication skills.Proven ability to identify control gaps, assess risk, and escalate issues appropriately.Experience collaborating with cross-functional business and technology stakeholders.Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.Preferred QualificationsTechnical Writing experience.Experience working with risk and control frameworks.Familiarity with risk metrics, reporting, and governance dashboards.Knowledge of information protection, data protection, cybersecurity, or regulatory compliance programs.Experience coordinating remediation activities across large enterprise organizations.Success ProfileThe ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, comfortable navigating regulatory and governance environments, and able to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
