Position SummaryMedical Assistant I (MA I) or Medical Assistant II (MA II) supports pediatric patient care across both front and back-office functions. This role plays a vital part in ensuring efficient clinical flow, high-quality patient care, and seamless communication among providers, staff, patients, and families. MA I staff are expected to competently perform clinical duties, support clinic operations, administer vaccines per protocol, and uphold C.A.R.E.S. standards.Core ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & Clinical Support·       Administer vaccines per provider order and scan into CANID·       Conduct vision and hearing screenings·       Document allergies, reactions, and medication history·       Obtain and document vital signs·       Obtain urine specimens for point-of-care urinalysis (UA)·       Provide age-appropriate screenings (PHQ-9 and M-CHAT)·       Room patients and prepare exam rooms·       Take complete past medical, family, and social historyPatient Communication & Coordination·       Answer overflow phone calls and assist families·       Call families with lab results and appointment reminders·       Schedule patients and follow-up appointments·       Send referrals and upload faxes into the patient chartAdministrative & Financial Duties·       Assist families with new patient paperwork·       Collect copays and outstanding balances·       Make and maintain new patient charts·       Verify and check insurance informationClinic Operations & Cleanliness·       Clean and stock exam rooms and lab stations·       Clean patient bathrooms, lobby, breakroom, and staff areas·       Maintain infection control and safety standards·       Spot clean floors and empty trashProfessional Standards·       Communicate clearly with providers and staff·       Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality·       Support clinical flow, teamwork, and patient experienceCompensationPay Range: Established MA I pay band per clinic compensation philosophy. Specific rates are determined by experience, certification, and performance. Pay Range: $15–$17 per hour (MA 1) / Pay Range: $17–$21 per hour
