The therapist will be responsible for managing patients in a high-volume emergency room. Experience with Neurotrauma, cardiovascular services, and medical/surgical ICU patients is essential. Proficiency in aerosol and medication delivery systems such as masks and nebulizers is required. The therapist should be skilled in administering various respiratory medications. Competency in ABG interpretation and ventilator management is necessary. Airway management skills including extubation, suctioning, and tracheostomy care are mandatory. Solid knowledge of oxygen therapy and advanced respiratory techniques is expected. The therapist will have a patient-to-staff ratio of 1:25 across varying demographics, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Robust protocols for assessment and treatment are in place, alongside a comprehensive ventilator management policy. Floating within the skill set may be required based on unit needs. Candidates must be willing to work weekends and at least one holiday during the contract period. Compliance with COVID-19 and flu vaccination policies is required, with exceptions for medical or religious reasons. Candidates are encouraged to submit their availability straight away for scheduling. Travel experience is preferred, but first-time travelers will be accepted.
