Senior Data & ML Engineer | Remote (EU) | 📍 3-month contract, likely extensions | 💸 €345/dayI'm working with a global technology consultancy that's delivering a large-scale data and machine learning programme for a major retail client, and they need a hands-on Senior Data & ML Engineer to join the team ASAP.The work is about getting ML running in production, not just building proofs of concept. The client wants live, real-time ML feeding customer-facing systems. This role suits someone who enjoys owning the whole journey, from raw and messy data to models serving in real time, and who has done it in production before.
What you'll be doing:
- Building the features that power ML models, both scheduled batch jobs and live streams
- Taking models from training through to serving, and keeping them healthy once they're live
- Turning large, messy datasets (plenty of them unstructured) into something models can use
- Building streaming pipelines on SparkMaking sure everything in production is fast, stable and ready to scale
- What they're looking for:
- Solid commercial experience as a Data or ML Engineer, with models you've taken all the way to production
- Deep hands-on Databricks and PySpark, backed by strong Python and SQLReal hands-on MLflow and MLOps experience, managing the model lifecycle end to end
- Real-time know-how: Spark streaming, on-the-fly feature generation and fast model serving
- Pipelines built for both training/retraining and live inference
- Comfortable working with big volumes of unstructured data
- Bonus points for AWS, or recommendation/customer analytics work
