Assistant Restaurant Manager

Grind is hiring a Restaurant Manager. We've been a downtown Glenwood Springs staple for nearly 15 years. We're in the middle of a reset. We want to rebuild the team, raise the standard, and sett the stage for what comes next. That means you're not walking into a polished machine. You're walking into an opportunity to help shape one. What the job actually is:You run front of house. You build the schedule with intention, not just to fill slots. You open, you close, you handle customer issues before they become problems. You keep the bar stocked but not overstocked. You're the face of the restaurant when you're on the floor, and you lead by example - which means you don't ask anyone to do something you wouldn't do yourself, and you don't leave before your people are taken care of.What we're looking for and what we're not:We're not looking for a resume, we're looking for a person. You exude hospitality. Whether you learned it or were born with it, it's how you're wired. You make people feel welcome without thinking about it. When things get hectic, you don't let it show. You're self-aware enough to recognize when something isn't working and adjust without being told. We don’t like to micro-manage and expect not to have to.Management experience is fine but it's not the filter, the right disposition is. If you've got the character and the work ethic, I'll teach you whatever you need to know. You should already live in the valley or be established enough here that cost of living isn't going to be a surprise. What you get:$20/hr + tips. If you structure things well and work the right shifts, $30+/hr is realistic and the ceiling goes higher.Health insurance once eligibility kicks in.Room to grow as you prove yourself — in pay and in scope.Consistency. This isn't a feast-or-famine gig. It's steady.A chance to be the face of a landmark restaurant's next chapter. That means something here.An owner who's operated this place for 15 years, is hands-on, and is genuinely willing to invest in developing the people who show up and care. What you should know:This is a rebuild. The team is small. The budget is tight. The standards are high from day one. If that sounds like a problem, this isn't the role. If that sounds like an opportunity, reach out.https://jobs.gusto.com/postings/grind-gws-llc-manager-79773355-75a4-446c-8a88-4ff7b4ee7331
