This position is responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing metal and manufactured components using industrial painting equipment and techniques. The ideal candidate has experience working in a manufacturing environment and understands surface preparation, spray application, and quality standards.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPrepare metal surfaces for painting by sanding, grinding, cleaning, masking, and priming materialsApply industrial coatings, primers, and finishes using spray guns and other painting equipmentMix paints and coatings according to specificationsInspect finished products to ensure quality, consistency, and proper coverageMaintain paint equipment, spray booths, and work areas in a clean and safe conditionFollow work orders, blueprints, and production schedulesAdhere to all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and OSHA standardsAssist with material handling and movement of parts as neededIdentify defects or touch-up areas and perform corrective work when necessaryQualificationsPrevious experience as an industrial painter, powder coater, automotive painter, or manufacturing painter preferredKnowledge of industrial painting equipment and spray techniquesAbility to read tape measures, work instructions, and production documentsFamiliarity with surface preparation and coating applicationsStrong attention to detail and qualityAbility to work independently and in a team environmentMust be able to stand, bend, lift, and work in a manufacturing settingPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to stand for extended periodsComfortable working in non-climate-controlled environmentsAbility to wear respirators and required PPEPreferred SkillsExperience with airless spray systems or powder coatingForklift or overhead crane experience a plusManufacturing or metal fabrication background preferred
