Engineering Project Manager

Job Description Leading architectural and engineering firm is adding a Senior Engineering Project Manager to their Sacramento team!Responsibilities:Collaborate in evaluation of project requirementsAssist with negotiation of agreement including fee and time scheduleDevelop discipline cost and work-hour budgets for each projectMonitor project costs and completion status against budget schedules/timelinesOversee all correspondence/pertinent documentsCoordinate review/evaluation of contractor bidsProvide day-to-day leadership as neededAssist with preparation of client billings prior to submittal for signatureParticipate in client interviews and development of proposalsWrite scopes of work for engineering design based on preliminary review/meetings with the clientPrepare/present complex engineering analysis clearlyResearch non-routine code issues and obtain interpretations from code officialsManage the production of engineering sketches and system schematics for complicated design tasks such as layout of engineering equipmentPrepare engineering opinion of probable cost for engineering systems/review contractor cost estimatesPrepare addendum/change ordersReview drawings/documents to assure compliance with company design and production standardsDevelop/maintain a thorough understanding of construction processes and delivery methods (LEAN, IPD and design build contracts)Mentor/train junior staffRequirements:Bachelors or Master's degree in Architectural Engineering or Engineering12+ years of experience5+ years of experience designing engineering systemsPE registration preferredKnowledge of current technology, IES, LEED and ASHRAE guidelines and all applicable codes, (city, state, federal)Working knowledge of building engineering systemsProficient in Microsoft Office Suites and AutoCADWorking knowledge of RevitSalary is commensurate with experience.Successful applicants must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to protected veteran status, disability, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin.Please contact Laura Harrison for further information!www.harrisonconsultingsolutions.com517-906-6926
