Real Estate Development Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Development Manager to oversee and manage projects throughout the full development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in preconstruction, estimating, budgeting, and project coordination, with the ability to drive projects from initial underwriting and design through construction completion.This individual will work closely with internal leadership, consultants, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with company objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesManage all phases of the real estate development process, including due diligence, entitlement, design coordination, preconstruction, permitting, and construction oversightLead preconstruction efforts, including budgeting, estimating, value engineering, and constructability reviewsCoordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and municipal agencies throughout project executionReview project schedules, budgets, contracts, and development pro formas to ensure financial and operational objectives are achievedAssist in contractor selection, bid analysis, scope reviews, and negotiation processesMonitor construction progress, project costs, change orders, and overall project performanceIdentify and mitigate project risks while proactively resolving issues that may impact schedule or budgetPrepare and present project updates to senior leadership and ownership groupsEnsure compliance with zoning, permitting, and regulatory requirementsSupport acquisitions and feasibility analysis for future development opportunitiesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Real Estate, Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Finance, or related field5+ years of experience in real estate development, construction management, or related industryStrong experience with preconstruction, estimating, and budgeting requiredExperience managing multifamily, mixed-use, commercial, hospitality, or large-scale residential projects preferredStrong understanding of construction methods, development processes, scheduling, and project financialsAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office, project management software, and budgeting toolsPreferred QualificationsExperience working for a real estate developer, owner's representative, or general contractorKnowledge of South Florida development and permitting processes is a plusExperience with value engineering and cost control initiativesCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary and performance bonusComprehensive benefits packageOpportunity to work on high-profile development projectsCareer growth within a dynamic and growing organization
