Key Responsibilities
Design, configure, implement, and maintain enterprise security platforms, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus solutions, and vulnerability scanners.
Configure and manage Microsoft Defender ATP, Azure Security Center, and Microsoft Cloud App Security to detect and respond to advanced threats.
Utilize Microsoft Security Compliance Manager, Security Graph API, and PowerShell for automation and continuous improvement of security operations.
Configure and troubleshoot Palo Alto Firewalls, including IPSec VPNs, NAT/PAT, and HA configurations.
Perform regular firewall hardware/software upgrades and ensure optimal performance.
Monitor and analyze network traffic for potential threats and respond to incidents promptly.
Support ITSM processes, including change management, incident resolution, and automation initiatives.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external vendors to resolve complex security issues.
Conduct periodic vulnerability testing and implement remediation measures.
Document best practices and contribute to continuous improvement of security standards and procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent (5+ years) professional experience.
Strong hands-on experience with:
Zscaler, Palo Alto, Panorama, Microsoft Defender ATP, Azure/AWS Security Tools
Microsoft Security and Compliance Suite
Network Security Configuration and Troubleshooting
Experience with security event correlation tools and monitoring platforms such as SolarWinds.
Familiarity with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Ansible, Python preferred).
Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
Understanding of ITSM frameworks and change management processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong analytical and organizational abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, enterprise environment.
Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.
Certifications such as ZD Cyber Associate or Digital Experience Admin are a strong plus.
Preferred Experience
Prior experience in medium to large enterprise environments.
Proven success implementing automation solutions in security operations.
Strong collaborative mindset with a “can-do” attitude and eagerness to learn
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
