Job Summary:
DAC Robotics is a vertically integrated company with in-house capabilities including mechanical design, electrical design, controls, fabrication, and assembly—all under one roof. We develop custom systems for a variety of industries including oil & gas, electronics, automotive, medical, food, solar, and sporting goods.
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer/Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience programming with Mastercam and be proficient in operating Haas CNC mills, Haas CNC lathes, and Wire EDM. This is a hands-on role that involves both programming and machining, focused on precision work across a variety of materials and part types.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam for milling, turning, and Wire EDM operations.
Set up and operate Haas CNC mills, Haas CNC lathes, and Wire EDM.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications.
Design and fabricate custom workholding fixtures as needed.
Perform in-process and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, indicators, CMM, and other precision measuring tools.
Troubleshoot and refine CNC programs to improve cycle times and surface finishes.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety standards.
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure parts meet exact specifications.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of CNC programming experience.
Proficient in Mastercam programming software.
Hands-on experience with Haas CNC machines (mills and lathes).
Experience operating and programming Wire EDM equipment.
Strong understanding of machining principles, materials, tooling, and feeds/speeds.
Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with tight-tolerance or prototype machining.
Familiarity with programming and operating CMM measurement systems.
Ability to multitask and manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
