Contract Compliance Manager
Role Summary: The Regulatory Lawyer for Alaska Government Affairs and Legal plays a strategic role in shaping and navigating the regulatory landscape affecting LNG and pipeline operations. This seasoned legal professional will lead efforts to build relationships with key government stakeholders, monitor and influence regulatory developments, and provide expert legal counsel across a range of compliance and policy matters.Key Responsibilities:1. Government & Regulatory Relations• Establish and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, regulators, and policymakers.• Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory engagement in Alaska.2. Legislative & Regulatory Monitoring• Track, analyze, and influence legislation, regulations, and permitting processes impacting LNG and pipeline operations.• Provide strategic input on regulatory trends and developments.3. Legal Advisory & Support• Offer legal guidance on contracts, regulatory filings, and compliance matters.• Ensure alignment with federal, state, and local laws.4. Internal Legal Counsel• Advise internal teams on legal risks, obligations, and emerging policy issues.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate legal exposure.5. Regulatory Response Coordination• Lead and coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries, audits, and investigations.• Prepare documentation and represent the company in regulatory proceedings.6. Advocacy & Representation• Support advocacy initiatives and represent the company in industry forums, public consultations, and stakeholder meetings.• Promote the company's interests in regulatory and policy discussions.Qualifications:• Minimum of 20 years of legal experience, with a strong focus on regulatory law and government affairs.• Deep understanding of energy infrastructure, LNG, and pipeline regulatory frameworks.• Proven ability to influence policy and manage complex legal issues.• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.
