Certified Medical AssistantThe Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting efficient clinic operations by guiding patients through their visits and assisting providers with clinical and administrative tasks. This position involves working with individuals across all ages and backgrounds, providing adaptable and patient-centered care. The role includes a variety of clinical and clerical duties to ensure smooth patient flow, such as standard rooming procedures, administering immunizations, injections, provider-directed medications, and collecting laboratory specimens.Responsibilities:Perform standard rooming procedures and administer immunizations, injections, and provider-directed medications.Collect laboratory specimens and perform in-clinic laboratory testing.Provide telephone support and assist communication between patients and providers.Manage prescription refill requests and conduct phlebotomy.Perform x-ray duties if certified through the x-ray operator exam.Assist with front desk and check-in activities and manage supply ordering and restocking.Help coordinate prior authorizations.Essential Skills:2+ years of experience in a clinical setting.BLS certification (AHA preferred).Experience with EPIC EMR.Experience with all patient populations.CMA or RMA certification required.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Proficiency in standard medical assisting skills for rooming and answering phone calls.Experience in patient care and phlebotomy.Work Environment:This role requires on-site work at a medical center campus located in Maple Grove. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, totaling 40 hours per week.
