Join us.Job Summary:As a Manufacturing Systems Engineer, you'll work as part of a team or lead a team to design, install, monitor, and develop manufacturing systems, equipment and assembly lines supporting medical device manufacturing at Forj Medical. Manufacturing systems engineers work to integrate the entire manufacturing process. This ranges from production and supply right through to sales.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Work closely with the Operations leadership to lead or execute transformation efficiencies and add new capabilities within our manufacturing systems environmentProvide technical leadership for the selection, design, prototyping, testing, and implementation of improvements to our workflow systems across our manufacturing facilitiesCoordinate with or lead cross-functional teams to collect requirements and plan implementationsCreate technical artifacts for internal and vendor business partner review (i.e. workflows, business requirements, functional specifications, use cases)Lead requirement sessions with project teams, vendor business partners, developers, and othersDrive assessment and validation processes to ensure there are no gaps in requirements and development deliverablesAttending production meetings and forecasting production requirementsOverseeing effective use of resources, e.g. raw materials, equipment, and staffDiscussing and evaluating systems failures with operations managers and non-technical personnelDemonstrating new and existing equipment to manufacturing engineers, production support staff and production managersMeeting with managers to discuss methods of improving the productivity of existing systems, taking into consideration the use of the latest technologySourcing new suppliers for manufacturing systems and/or equipment to support the manufacturing systemsTesting, monitoring, and evaluating new processes either systems and/or equipmentEstablishing and implementing the Forj Medical quality culture within the manufacturing environmentIdentify and benchmark against other production sitesMentor and train other engineers, production coordinators, etc in the in the production environment to become efficient and effective at their responsibilitiesQualifications and Requirements:Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical or scientific discipline3 to 6 years engineering experience in an electronic-based manufacturing environment.
