SUMMARY Mortenson's Power Delivery group is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Superintendent I to provide overall electrical expertise and supervision for project electrical scopes from planning through closeout. This role will oversee electrical subcontractors, ensure quality installations, and support site management in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality projects.RESPONSIBILITIESCoordinate electrical work on-site, including underground cabling, overhead lines, and substation constructionReview drawings, submittals, and specifications for quality and complianceDevelop and maintain project schedules and 3-week look-aheadsSupervise and ensure quality control for self-performed and subcontracted workMonitor subcontractor performance, safety, and resource planningLead installation and termination of fiber optic cablesEnforce Mortenson's Zero Injury Program and project quality standardsCoach and mentor field personnel and assist with hiring decisionsQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalentMinimum 12 years of experience with high and medium voltage equipment, transmission/collection lines, and substation constructionMinimum 13 years supervisory experienceCurrent driver's licenseWorking knowledge of latest NESC, NEC, IEEE, NEMA, and OSHA codes and standards and industry safety requirements and methodsAbility to gain and maintain basic understanding of Wind Turbine construction to ensure proper code requirements and installation methodsPossess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practicesProficiency in the installation, testing, acceptance, maintenance, and repair of high and medium voltage cablesKnowledgeable about current injection, Hi-pot, capacitance discharge, contact resistance, Megger, TTR, Doble, and other methods of cable and equipment testingPossess working knowledge of electrical drawings, sketches, and prints, underground duct banks, trenching, manholes and vaults for distribution and collection systems, underground and pad mount transformer usage, SCADA systems used in the power industry, transmission line construction, testing and commissioning, and substation construction, testing and commissioningActive listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedbackAbility to travel up to 100%Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity, inclusive behaviors, and Affirmative Action plans and their intended useA few benefits offered include:(for Non-Craft & Non-Union Craft working 25+ hours / week)Medical and prescription drug plans that includes no additional cost vision coverageDental plan401k retirement plan with a generous Mortenson matchPaid time off, holidays, and other paid leavesEmployer paid Life, AD&D, and disability insuranceNo-Cost mental health tool and concierge with extensive work-life resourcesTuition reimbursementAdoption AssistanceGym Membership Discount ProgramThe base pay range for this role is $164,300 - $246,500. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
