Customer Service RepresentativeCustomer Service Representatives are responsible for assisting Dayton Freight customers with a variety of inquiries including freight pickup requests, rate quotes or freight charges, hot shipments, shipment tracing and appointments or special requests.ResponsibilitiesAssist the Service Center ManagerTake and deliver messages for the Service Center Manager and Account ManagersProvide assistance to DriversPrepare bills of lading and delivery receiptsMaintain excellent communication with external and internal customers as well as interline companiesMay be asked to assist with:PayrollData entryFreight reportsDriver collect reportsBilling and fillingQualificationsSkillful in Microsoft Office ProgramsExcellent keyboarding skillsHas worked in a fast paced environment and has excellent attention to detailExperience with handling a high volume of phone callsExceptional communication and customer service skillsPhysical DemandsThis position requires the ability to perform administrative and clerical tasks in an office and Service Center environment. Duties may include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, light lifting, reaching, and handling office materials or freight-related items, with occasional entry into dock or trailer areas as needed.
