Each intern is assigned a capstone project tied to real business priorities and works closely with experienced leaders, high-potential mentors, and cross-functional teams.This program is intentionally designed to:Deliver measurable business impactProvide exposure to industrial manufacturing and safety solutionsDevelop professional and leadership skillsCreate a pipeline into future full-time and leadership development opportunities at Justrite Safety GroupTop-performing interns may be considered for full-time roles or future leadership development programs upon graduation.Position SummaryYou will have the opportunity to understand how technology benefits our business, as well as have an opportunity to fulfill IT requests from end users and implement solutions when technology doesn't work as expected. You will be interacting with many Justrite end users from around the world in our different locations and providing excellent customer service and IT support to these users. You will be involved in various IT projects, such as upgrading our users from Windows 10 to Windows 11 and refreshing outdated equipment.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities will vary by function but may include:Assist the IT Service Desk team by delivering IT support and excellent customer service to our end usersAssist in diagnosing break/fix tickets that come into our ticketing systemProvide hands on and remote support for hardware, software and printersImage and deploy new Windows 11 laptopsInstall, uninstall and upgrade softwareOnboard new hires and offboard employee exits (network accounts, permissions, equipment, etc)Use MS Teams to chat and call end users, perform screensharing sessions to resolve IT issues remotelyActively work all IT tickets in your queue and keep the end user updated on the progress of their tickets by updating your tickets on a regular basisAttend team meetings and work with the Director of IT Operational Excellence when neededLearn various IT tools and platforms such as: Active Directory, RDS, telephony, VPN, Windows Server, Remote Control, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, etc.Deliver a comprehensive presentation to management and executives at the end of the summerWhat You'll GainReal-world experience in industrial safety manufacturingDirect exposure to experienced professionals and industry leadersMentorship from a high-potential employee focused on your developmentHands-on problem-solving and project ownershipProfessional development in communication, analysis, and presentation skillsInsight into career paths within Justrite Safety GroupQualifications / RequirementsCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field
(Information Technology, or related discipline)Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving and communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaborativelyCuriosity, initiative, and interest in industrial manufacturing or safety solutionsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); additional tools a plusWhat We're Looking For:Current undergraduate student in their Junior or Senior year studying Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, etc.Strong interest in Information TechnologyHave a good knack of being a good troubleshooter with common IT issues in regards to hardware and softwarePossesses good customer service skills to assist end-users in explaining technical jargon in non-technical terms they can understand and learn fromEffective written and verbal communication skillsCollaborates well in both one-on-one and teamwork settingsProficient in using software applications, especially Microsoft Office 365 and Windows 11Familiarity with Active Directory Users and Computers, SharePoint and Office365 is a plusExcellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProactive attitude and eagerness to learnWillingness to travel to a JSG location for Intern Training Week10-week commitmentWhy Justrite Safety GroupAt Justrite Safety Group, interns work alongside the best in the industrial safety industry - engineers, operators, safety professionals, and business leaders who design products that protect lives every day.This is more than an internship.
